The problem De-News solves

In today’s century, when someone shows us the news, video or pictures of any event, how can we believe its authenticity? It seems that the public is losing their trust in media due to the lack of reliable reference of facts.The problem we are solving is creating a moderation service over a news sharing application. A central moderation service is prone to opacity and censorship.

To tackle this, our main idea is to make the news sharing application with decentralized moderation with the help of smart contracts and the blockchain, with a history of all articles published on it. Here the publishers can publish any news with a stake on it and the readers can flag fake news with their stake on flagging the news is sent to the validators who decide the authenticity of the news and the stake amount is distributed among the validators, and reader/publisher depending on the outcome

The main advantages of this project
1)Transparency in the news: As the blockchain can provide transparency, the world would be able to discover the news is fake or not.
2)Traceability of the news: Blockchain enabled applications can trace the authenticity of news from the start till the present and in future as well.
3)Decentralized Approach: With the approach of decentralized news platform, the problem of fake news can be resolved. Moreover, an absence of centralization to store the data ensures no single points of failure
4)Immutable Approach: News content, videos or images saved on the Blockchain is immutable as they cannot be altered, changed or deleted.
