de_link as a project wants to step into the Physical NFT space and help realize the potential of Utility-based NFTs.
The Problem - With the current demograph of social interaction, there are way too many applications and websites that a person can have. Online Social presence has transcended into something much greater with more potential than traditional networking and marketing. Due to the large amount of links someone has to drop to connect with someone or get their point across, there was a void that kept on building.
The Solution - de_link
Our platform solves this by accumulating a persons social presence into a much more compact and presentable format. Our website allows users to upload any image of their choice to be converted into an NFT free of cost. After this, users will have the option to get the same NFT in a curated physical format like a polaroid with an NFC tag. And thats as simple as it gets. Whenever someone wants to connect with you in a social setting be it a meeting, cohort or a workplace you simply ask them to tap the physical NFT and voila, you've gained a connection.
Users have the ability to customize how the physical NFT will look by paying for add-ons to make their Physical NFT card stand out even more. Users also dictate the purpose their physical NFT will serve by having full control over the links and affiliations they would want to showcase socially. No matter your profession, a physical NFT with your socials on it will allow for a new way to connect and unlock a much more convenient ecosystem
In the span of 24 hours, the main challenge would be to securely implement a smart contract with the necessary metadata changes and traits that we wanted while maintaing an easy to view website. We ran into a couple hurdles while linking the smart contract but managed to achieve full functionality.
The second hurdle was achieving a good design prototype of how the NFT would look physically, the card component was a little rough around the edges to be displayed but we managed nonetheless.
