The problem DeFIR solves
⚠ The Problem
In many places, the process of filing a complaint or FIR with the police is slow, unclear, and unsafe. People often face:
Long delays or no updates after filing
FIRs getting changed or removed due to outside pressure
No real-time updates on how their case is going
Difficulty in sharing photos, videos, or voice recordings as evidence
Fear of being identified or targeted due to lack of privacy
Challenges we ran into
🧩 Challenges We Faced
While building DeFIR, we didn't run into major roadblocks, but there were a few tricky areas that required extra effort:
Real-time Sync Across Components:
Keeping everything in sync—like the AI engine, blockchain records, and police app—was a bit challenging at first. We solved it by using an event-based architecture along with proper polling and retry mechanisms to ensure smooth communication between modules.
Telegram Bot Integration:
Sending accurate case alerts with location data to the police through Telegram took some effort. We had to adjust the message formatting and debug a few edge cases to make everything work smoothly.
