Decentralized Identity and Document Store

The project aim to make the identity as a decentralized store of identity where updating document requires combined permission of multiple stakeholders.

The problem Decentralized Identity and Document Store solves

At the current time of digital advancement, maintaining security and ownership is the
rising problem. Centralized data storage system and facilities cannot be liable to
unauthorized changed in data by any hacker. The project aim to make the identity as a
decentralized store of identity where no body can change or temper the data other than
the owner. The digital documents such as the Aadhar card, birth certificate, Property
ownership paper etc. which are sensitive document and need to be kept secure and
temper proof will be stored in the blockchain and only the request of the owner will be
able to change or transfer the ownership.

Some of its potential use cases:
• Government and Public Records
• Healthcare
• Finance and Banking
• Real Estate
• Intellectual Property

Challenges we ran into

Smart Contract Bugs
One of the most challenging issues we faced was debugging our smart contract. During initial testing, the contract logic behaved unexpectedly, causing funds to lock in the contract without proper release.

How We Overcame It:

We used tools like Hardhat for local development and debugging.
Integrated unit tests for each function in our smart contract using Mocha and Chai.
Deployed the contract to a testnet and used tools like Etherscan for real-time debugging.
