Our blockchain-based platform for online donations allows users to donate Ether (ETH) directly to their charities, without the need for intermediaries such as banks or payment processors. This provides several benefits:
Transparency: Blockchain technology provides an immutable ledger of all transactions, This means that every transaction, once recorded on the blockchain, cannot be altered or deleted. This makes it easier to track the flow of donations and ensure that they are being used for their intended purpose.
Efficiency: By eliminating intermediaries, our platform reduces transaction fees and processing times, allowing more of the donation to go directly to the intended recipient. In addition, our platform is accessible 24/7, enabling donors to make donations at any time from anywhere in the world.
Security: The use of blockchain technology makes the platform more secure than traditional donation platforms. Transactions are cryptographically secured, and users have full control over their private keys, ensuring that their funds are safe from theft or fraud.
By providing greater transparency, accountability, and security, our Decentralized Donation App can help reduce corruption and increase public trust in the donation process.
This Application can be modified to various models, some examples are :- 1) Content creators can recieve donations from their viewers in the form of Ether , 2) Charity and NGO organizations can recieve donations, 3) Govt. Donations, this govt. model will reduce the corruption from donated funds as the donation data cannot be altered or deleted from the blockchain and is publicly available.
One of the main challenges I encountered while building this project was my limited experience with CSS. While I had a clear vision for the user interface and design of the platform, I struggled to implement it due to my lack of CSS skills. Specifically, I had difficulty with styling the various elements on the page and making them look visually appealing.
To overcome this hurdle, I took the following steps:
Research: I spent time researching various CSS frameworks and resources, such as Bootstrap.
Collaboration: I reached out to a friend who had more experience with designing and asked for their help and feedback on my design. They were able to offer valuable insights and suggestions on how to improve the layout and styling of the platform.
Iterative design: I took an iterative approach to design, meaning that I made small changes and adjustments to the CSS and design as I went along, rather than trying to tackle everything at once.
Ultimately, while designing was a challenging aspect of the project, I was able to overcome it through a combination of research, collaboration, and an iterative design approach.
Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
