The problem Decentralised Donations App solves

Around 70% of all reproductive diseases in India are caused by poor menstrual hygiene and women continue to put their health at risk either because of lack of knowledge or poverty. Women use unhygienic material such as, cloth while menstruating.
We aim to provide sanitary pads to women in need by creating a website that collects donation. We simultaneously aim to build a community where stories and experiences are shared so that periods and menstrual hygiene are not a taboo anymore. Any user to the website can make an appeal which is registered on the blockchain. Any person can donate to any other person who made an appeal on our portal. Money will then be transfered to a manufacturer, from where the actual product will be delivered to the appealer. No direct money is transffered which makes it imposible to misuse the funds. 6 months stalk is delivered, and no appeals by the same person can be made for the next six months. This eliminates risk of reselling of pads.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues While trying to connect our frontend to the smart Contract and the Blockchain.We solved it by reading documentations and watching various online videos. It was tough to get the answers as blockchain is a new technology.
