The problem Decentralised Autonomus Research Organistaion solves

Our inspiration for creating Decentralised Autonomus Research Organistaion(DARO) using Filecoin and Axelar stems from our deep-rooted belief in the power of collaboration and the transformative potential of decentralized technologies in advancing scientific research. I witnessed brilliant minds with groundbreaking ideas struggle to find the support and resources they needed to bring their visions to life. We were driven by a vision to create a platform that empowers researchers globally, regardless of their geographical location or access to resources. We envisioned a future where researchers can seamlessly collaborate, share knowledge, and receive fair recognition for their contributions.
The Filecoin network became a natural choice for us due to its decentralized and secure storage infrastructure, enabling researchers to store and access data in a censorship-resistant manner. We recognized the immense potential of Filecoin in revolutionizing data storage and its ability to foster a more equitable research ecosystem.By leveraging Filecoin's decentralized storage infrastructure, DARO ensures that research data remains secure, tamper-proof, and accessible to all, regardless of geographical constraints or institutional affiliations. Researchers can safely store their valuable datasets and confidently build upon existing knowledge, knowing that their contributions are protected and preserved for future generations. But DARO doesn't stop at storage.
We wanted to overcome the barriers imposed by different blockchain networks, enabling researchers from various ecosystems to connect and collaborate effortlessly. This led us to integrate Axelar's General Message Passing software, which bridges the gap between blockchain networks and facilitates seamless cross-chain fundings.
Through DARO, we aim to inspire a new generation of researchers, ignite a passion for collaboration, and revolutionize the way research is conducted.

Challenges I ran into

Building DARO presented numerous challenges as a solo developer joining the project late. With limited time and resources, I dove headfirst into learning Filecoin, and Axelar. Integrating these technologies required a deep understanding of protocols and APIs. Sleepless nights, relentless determination, and unwavering motivation became my companions. Overcoming doubts, exhaustion, and frustration, I embraced resilience and adaptability. The project became a testament to the power of technology and the human spirit to make a difference. DARO stands as a symbol of passion, perseverance, and the belief that even in adversity, remarkable achievements are possible.
