The problem ZPay solves
ZPay enables users to make seamless payments by simply entering an internet identity like a Facebook ID or Instagram username, eliminating the need for traditional account numbers or emails. This process streamlines transactions, making them faster, easier, and more secure. By leveraging zkproofs, ZPay ensures that payments are not only convenient but also private and resistant to fraud, safeguarding both the sender and receiver’s information.
Challenges we ran into
One significant hurdle we faced while building ZPay was integrating zkproofs into the payment system. The complexity of ensuring both privacy and efficiency in transactions without compromising user experience was a challenge. We encountered issues with the speed and scalability of zkproofs, which initially slowed down the payment process.
To overcome this, we conducted extensive research on optimizing zkproof algorithms and collaborated with experts in the field. We implemented parallel processing techniques and made adjustments to our smart contracts to handle zkproofs more efficiently. Through persistent testing and iteration, we were able to streamline the process, ultimately achieving a balance between privacy, speed, and scalability in ZPay's payment system.
