Lets get Vocal for Local

The problem Cyber Impact solves

Local businesses have no platform to promote their business. Bigger businesses have their own websites, adverts and other promotional contents unlike local small businesses. Even while looking in Google Maps, big businesses are highlighted more than local businesses. But Local businesses are the ones people trust the most when it comes to small professions like tailors, Book Stores, etc. They are overlooked even when they’re just within the reach of the customers and provide cheaper and better services. And people new to the area have a hard time finding a good local profession in the area. Cyber Impact is a platform where everyone can promote their small businesses by creating their own profile and place their business in one of the many provided categories so that the users of the website can look at all the local businesses in his/her area and choose the suitable one based on the rating or how far it is from them. Thus allowing the locals to expand their business to a bigger public.

Challenges we ran into

Being our first big project, many of us didnt have complete knowledge of the techstack. We had to build everything from scratch, Only 1 teammate knew server-side backend while rest of us did the front end and minor event listeners and animations. We were not able to get Google Maps API to work neither were we able to impliment rating and reviews due to lack of time. We worked together the whole time trying our best to figure things out and help each other with either resources or just morally.
