Cure Me Baby
Empowering accessible mental wellness with a gamified AI psychiatrist that delivers personalized, adaptive care and real-time progress insights in a TEE (Trusted Execution Environment)
The problem Cure Me Baby solves
Problems:
In many Asian communities, there is a widespread cultural stigma around mental health, making it difficult or “weird” to seek professional psychiatric help. People worry about confidentiality, fearing their private struggles won’t stay private, and they may feel judged by family, friends, or society. Additionally, even those who want to seek help often face limited access to mental health services, especially in underfunded areas or rural regions.
Reason It Maters:
Stigma and Isolation: Individuals who need support may avoid it due to fear of social repercussions.
Privacy Concerns: Without guaranteed confidentiality, people are hesitant to share personal issues.
Limited Infrastructure: Rural or economically challenged areas lack adequate mental health resources.
These factors create a gap where many who need help either don’t get it at all or receive it too late.
Solution:
A secure, AI-driven mental healthcare assistant operating within a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) helps users confidentially access mental health support without stigma or fear. By integrating real-time adaptive learning (using swarm intelligence), retrieval-augmented generation for context, and a gamified daily progress feature, this solution makes mental health guidance both personalized and accessible. Users benefit from:
Confidentiality: All interactions remain inside a secure enclave.
Convenience: Subscription-based access via NEAR wallet, no need for physical appointments.
Personalized Care: AI tailors its guidance based on individual feedback and optional user-uploaded documents.
Engagement: Gamified progress tracking to sustain user involvement and self-awareness.
This approach addresses the social, privacy, and access barriers to mental health services, making it safer, easier, and more private for those who otherwise might avoid traditional in-person care.
Challenges we ran into
We encountered several key challenges during the development process. First, integrating Gensyn’s Swarm for reinforcement learning was more difficult than expected due to incomplete documentation. We had to seek direct support from the devrel team, and because the Swarm required specific hardware to deliver meaningful improvements, we chose a faster and less resource-intensive setup for our proof of concept.
Deploying everything within a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) also proved to be time-intensive. Configuring Docker images to ensure all dependencies were securely containerized took longer than anticipated. We ended up doing most of our testing outside the enclave first, then gradually shifting core functionalities into the TEE once the Docker images were solid.
On the blockchain side, building and deploying a NEAR smart contract was new forus, and it introduced a significant learning curve. Connecting the NEAR wallet also posed complexities as our past experiences were mostly EVM-based, so adjusting to NEAR’s non-EVM environment demanded patience and trial-and-error.
Finally, creating the 3D assets for our gamified elements was another time-consuming endeavor. While part of the team tackled AI and security integrations, others focused on building and animating 3D models. This parallel approach helped us bring the feature to life, but it underscored the importance of robust teamwork under tight deadlines.
