The problem CrimeBound solves

Criminal records are centralised and are easy to manipulate. We propose a solution to store criminal records by sending non-transferrable NFT token, which is the CrimeBound Token (a Soul bound token). No need of storing the data in centralized way where criminals can behave anyhow they want to erase their data. Blockchain nodes are available by all the cop stations along the city. Thus every station knows what CBT has been received by a particular criminal. While punishing and investigating a culprit, police can have a look at his CBT profile. That is checking his past criminal records along with its metadata which is integrated using IPFS distributed system for storing the metadata of the NFT.

Challenges I ran into

Wanted criminals who have lot of criminal history. But many-a-times these criminals try to cover up the history by bribing or threatening others to delete their records. Thus a centralized mode of maintenance of records is complex and not reliable. Criminal with high level criminal charges should be known in the cops chain. Prisoners fake identities and try to flee from their punished tenure in the jail. No reliable way of identifying and tracking criminal records.
