The problem Crewd solves
Right now, most “alpha groups” live on Telegram, and anyone can fake a screenshot or leak the chat.
Crewd fixes that by making communities on-chain and token-gated.
If you hold the token, you’re in. If not, you’re out — no drama.
-People can use it to:
-Share alpha safely
-Run paid communities
-Keep access verifiable and trustless
It basically turns group chats into secure, on-chain memberships.
Challenges I ran into
Honestly, the hardest part was getting token-gated access + chat permissions to behave perfectly.
At one point, people without the required token could still peek inside a group—definitely not ideal for alpha chats.
I ended up rewriting the access flow so the backend always decides who gets in, not the frontend. Once that was done, the system finally clicked.
