The problem CreatorHub AVS solves
In the current Web2 landscape, YouTube creators have limited control over their content ownership, monetization options, and direct engagement with their fan base. Platform algorithms dictate content reach, while revenue is largely controlled by ad-based models with minimal transparency and limited creator autonomy. This setup can be frustrating, especially for creators who want more sustainable and direct ways to monetize and connect with their audiences.
Integrating Web3 with YouTube’s API
YouTube's API was designed with Web2 in mind, meaning there were limitations in creating seamless interactions between blockchain and YouTube’s ecosystem. Integrating Web3 features, such as token-gated content, presented a significant hurdle.
Solution: We implemented a middleware layer to handle communication between the YouTube API and our blockchain components. This layer allowed us to bridge Web2 and Web3 functionalities, enabling smoother data exchange and interaction.
Challenges we ran into
One of the major challenges we faced was the limited documentation available for ZKFetch, which led to a trial-and-error process during deployment, especially when integrating with the YouTube API. This lack of resources made the development process more complex and time-consuming, requiring creative problem-solving to bridge gaps and achieve seamless integration. and intregation between Zk-Fetch into AVS that something more Challenge getting bigger, cause we just learn it for about 3 days.
Additionally, creating a smooth onboarding experience for YouTube creators unfamiliar with Web3 was no easy task. Many creators find the technical aspects of blockchain and NFTs overwhelming. To address this, we integrated BASE Smart Wallet technology, which allows users to create or register a new wallet simply through their email. This seamless technology eliminates the complexity often associated with setting up a crypto wallet, making it easier for creators to transition into Web3.
