Recognizes and rewards the most impactful creators
The problem Creator Score solves
Creator Rewards addresses fundamental challenges in the creator economy by:
- Eliminates application friction: No forms or manual claims needed - rewards are distributed automatically based on verified content creation activity rather than popularity contests or application writing skills.
- Recognizes authentic creators: Traditional systems favor creators with large followings regardless of content quality. Creator Rewards uses verifiable data across multiple platforms to identify genuine content creators based on both quantity and quality.
- Creates standardized measurement: Establishes a transparent, data-driven reputation system that evaluates creators' impact through objective metrics rather than subjective assessments.
- Connects fragmented creator ecosystems: Aggregates data from over 15 platforms including Zora, Base, Farcaster, Paragraph, Noice, Phi, and Pods to create a holistic view of a creator's impact.
- Enables data-driven discovery: Provides protocols, brands, and platforms with reliable methods to identify top creative talent for rewards, partnerships, grants, and collaborations.
Challenges we ran into
Building Creator Rewards presented several significant technical and operational hurdles:
- Data integration complexity: Creating a unified scoring system across diverse platforms (Zora, Farcaster, Paragraph, etc.) required developing custom integrations for each, with different data structures and access methods.
- Score perception issues: Early testing showed creators found the scoring arbitrary or unfair when it didn't match their perception of their impact or didn't include platforms where they were most active.
- Partner activation difficulties: Getting consumer apps to integrate with our data ecosystem proved challenging, as each had different priorities and technical requirements.
- Engagement mechanics: Creating a system that creators would actively engage with beyond just checking their score required significant product experimentation.
- Adoption incentives: We needed to create compelling reasons for creators to participate in the system beyond the initial rewards distribution.
We overcame these challenges by implementing a tiered testing approach with creator feedback loops, simplifying partner asks into tiers (data only, amplify only, full partner), creating transparent scoring formulas, and designing gamification elements like daily voting, creator challenges, and seasonal events.
