The problem create-0g-app solves

create-0g-app is a CLI that scaffolds a full-stack app pre-configured with working code for 0G's contracts, storage, compute (AI inference), and INFT features.

Our team has built hackathon starter kits + tools used by hundreds of developers, so we’re translating our first-hand experience to make building on 0G as seamless as possible.

Problems it solves:

• Understanding technical 0G features/concepts like ledgers + providers, Merkle-based storage, and more
• Amount of time needed to learn about 0G's tech, set up contracts + frontend repo, and integrate features like Storage/Compute
• Lack of accurate context + examples that give vibe coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor the ability to help developers build + debug

Challenges we ran into

• Understanding how 0G Compute works (wallet --> ledger --> provider), retrieving enough testnet tokens for the ledger deposit, ensuring we didn't needlessly send tokens from wallet to ledger when there were sufficient funds, and separating balance set up code vs actual AI API call
• Setting up the npm package and debugging differences between local and prod
• Documentation + lack of repo examples related to data availability (DA) feature

Use of AI tools and agents

We used Claude Code and Cursor as our primary coding tools, with lots of the scaffold itself built with their help. This created a nice feedback loop: as we built create-0g-app, we were simultaneously the target user, which let us validate that the generated code gives AI assistants enough context to be actually useful when building on 0G.
