The problem Craft Conduit solves
Famous Handicrafts are found and sold on the local streets of India, Sadly, these extensive pieces of creativity are dying. Selling local art at an excellent price and buying it at an affordable rate becomes difficult when third-party websites take commissions for themselves. Our site creates a direct portal that caters to the customer's needs and creates vast opportunities for local artisans to empower themselves. Our website provides a platform for local artisans to upskill and take workshops for people willing to learn from the artists directly, Artisans can directly sell their products and receive a confirmation text message after every successful order. The key feature was showing nearby places to showcase their talent
Challenges we ran into
There were a plethora of challenges that we faced, including malfunctioning CSS in the front end and handling the databases in Django. The most challenging task was integrating and calling our APIs into the website since they were our prime feature. The problem of APIs was solved by setting up a billing account however we were skeptic as we did not have that sort of income for integrating Maps API. However, we made it through everything and solved all the issues we encountered in these 48 hours.
