Job seekers — especially students and freshers — often struggle with preparing for interviews, building a professional resume, and optimizing their LinkedIn profile to stand out. They waste time switching between platforms, relying on outdated templates, or guessing what recruiters want.
CrackIt.AI provides a one-stop AI-powered platform that helps users:
- Prepare for interviews through mock sessions
- Build and review resumes
- Optimize LinkedIn profiles
- Learn topics and take quizzes
It bridges the gap between talent and presentation, helping candidates become job-ready faster.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was implementing the LinkedIn Optimizer using just the user’s profile URL. LinkedIn doesn't offer a public API to extract user data directly due to privacy restrictions, so we had to pivot and ask users to paste their content manually instead of fetching it.
Another issue was ensuring a responsive UI across all devices, especially when using complex components like graphs (Chart.js) and layout modules. We resolved this by modularizing each component, using TailwindCSS’s responsive utilities, and constant mobile testing.
Integrating AI feedback in a human-like tone for mock interviews was also tricky. We had to fine-tune the prompts and control the AI output so it mimicked a realistic interviewer without sounding robotic or over-coaching mid-interview.
