A Disease Detection Web App to assist radiologists to detect the presence of COVID-19.
The problem Covidologist solves
Since, the main purpose of this project is to automate the process of COVID-19 diagnosis and help radiologists, doctors and patients in their process by saving their precious time. So, by using a trained model on COVID chest-X-ray images, It assists medical staff and radiologists to detect the presence/sign of COVID in the chest-x-ray images reducing the workload and speeding up the diagnosis.
Challenges I ran into
Since, It is a computer vision deep learning project, It requires a massive amount of data to train the model and to process such high data, it really requires high computation and it is a challenging task to train the model with high compute as it is not free of cost. So, I managed somehow with google colab.
Moreover, it required hours of training and any interruption in between due to the google colab issue, made train model again and again in spite of checkpointing.
In this project, I followed modular programming and it was a challenging task to check and test code as I had a habit writing whole code in notebooks.
So, These are the challenges I went through in this project.
