The problem Covid Companion solves

This project is a solution to the current shortage of beds and resources due to covid-19. Covid patients who needs urgent medical care roaming from hospital to hospital in search of beds; the hospitals which are at their full capacity have no option to turn them down and this also give rise to conflicts. In the recent news you can see that many people died waiting outside the hospital, waiting for their bed.So we decided to solve this problem.

People can use our website to see real time availibility of beds also including the availability different types of bed like ICU, HDU , Isolation etc. The information about the beds is updated by the respective hospital itself. We have made the process of keeping count super easy. The hospital just have to do one time sign up on our website and once they have logged in they can update the count of the beds in just 2-clicks!

-This system helps the people as well as hospital. People get accurate and direct information from the hospital and also the hospital will have the following benifits: No crowding/waiting lines, less conflict, alleviate the hassle of manangement, more productivity.
-We have also provide more details about covid-19 safety tips, frequently asked questions and some misconceptions and myths.inaccurate and false data cause unnecessary panic.
-We also added a feature where people in urgent need of plasma can fill up the form and we will connect them to various blood banks and other organisations who can help them.
-The main reason for increase is that people dont wear masks, dont follow govt. guidelines and they certainly dont follow the night curfew.We think the best way to make people conscious about covid is by telling other people experiences with covid and for that we have provided a form for that.

Through this project we want to make sure people suffering from covid can reach THE RIGHT HOSPITAL AT RIGHT TIME!
We beleive no one has to die because of an inaccurate system.

Challenges we ran into

Main challenge for us was time constraint. We had so many ideas but we just couldn't complete them in time. This is our first Hackathon and before this neither of us had much experience with such projects and that too in such a small time.

We were having some issues working with github to coordinate our project. None of us had much knowledge of github but it was necessary for our project.But with time we were able to PUSH and PULL quickly!

We wanted to created a portal for covid resources dealer dealing in oxygen cylinder, oxygen concentrators, Bipap machines etc; where they can display their comodities along with their contact info and people who are in need of these comodities can contact them.Due to this the sales of the dealers will increase and it would give rise to competition so the prices of the comodities would be fair. But due to time constraint we couldn't apply this idea to our project.

But as much as it was a challenge for us, it was just as fun!!!
