Making Web3 experiences joyful, relevant, and easy for all users through easy onboarding, personalization, and smooth navigation journeys across applications.

The problem Cotton solves

We intend to effectively address the following issues:

  1. Feed Personalization: Currently, NFT marketplaces feeds are standard for all users. This limits the relevance for different user groups. Web3 non-native users find such an experience very overwhelming. For mass adoption and meaningful engagement NFT marketplaces (Dapps in general) need to customize the feed to user’s relevance.
  2. Smart Product Bundling: Using existing user information and intelligent design, we intend to increase cross-sell, frequency of visits, # listings viewed/purchased and reduce churn that could possibly result in a higher ARPU(Average Revenue Per User)
  3. Social Proofing mechanisms: We aim to eliminate lack of trust and confidence to interact in the Web3 world by acclimatizing users to transactions and giving them an idea of community level information that acts as social proof to enable them take an action on these platforms. Ex : 500 people from Menlo Park bought this Token in the last 4hours. 50 active traders now. Such statistics will make users more confident while buying NFTs.
  4. Digital Identity: Dapps lacking to understand user behaviour can be solved by building masked user behaviour models.

We aim to solve these issues by building a user behavior model to provide personalized feeds (and search results) quickly and easily, resulting in better engagement with marketplaces. User behavior model can be built by training collaborative learning models on User’s wallets data and stitching together to make a digital user identity.

Challenges we ran into

As first time Flow developer biggest challenge we ran into is getting used to of the ecosystem. My app works perfectly fine to testnet but not on emulator or vice versa. I faced challenges while deploying the app on vercel too. One thing which I missed in Flow ecosystem is a native social graph protocol. We might end up building that to support more projects like ours.

Deploying the app on vercel with testnet credentials was something we could not completely figure out during this time. Pls reach out in case you fail to use the app from the vercel link. We can give a live demo in dev mode. Although I have recorded and uploaded the video of me using the app in dev.
