The problem CoOwnCaster solves
Helping Creators and builders collaborate and unlock value, together.
We have built a hub aimed to get Farcaster builders from all disciplines together to come together and collaborate on cocreation and co - ownership projects. builders and founders can launch campaigns where they specify what they need help with, and how they are rewarding contributions - mainly in the form of coownership. Other members can apply to participate and contribute from their time experience and network.
<b> The problems it solves </b>
- Coordination - by starting a community of builders, setting mechanism for them to engage, and setting reward structures as incentives, we believe we are able to better coordinate between opportunities that exist but are not utilized in our space, and in general unlock value
- Fight Solo founders "lonelyness" - many builders build alone, and we tried to make it easy for them to find partners they can get help from and that they can help others, as an alternative path to finding a full time Co-founder, which takes time and is a longer journey.
- 0-1 - help founders iterate faster and get ideas to improve their product/offering leveraging other builders experience and knowledge.
Challenges we ran into
We've built the app using a no-code solution named Softr, and a complimentry frame that intended to get people an easy to onboard solution where they just check eligibility to join (based on a pre-defined list we creatd), and a sign in with in a click.
We ran into multiple challanges to make sure the logic of the frame worked. especially a challange with magic link generation that was dependent on 3rd party (softr). we found a bug they had and had to contact their support, which where able to solve it in a few days. We overcome this problem by changing the workflow, and directed people to a Farcaster Group Chat instead of taking them directly to the app.
Another challange was to get visibility to the wider Farcaster builders community - we tried reaching out to super users and opinion leaders to get them participate.
