There are a lot of steps been taken to ensure social distancing and less physical contact between people but one thing which is mandatory and people have to touch it is Switchboards, In a public place like a hospital, an office, a transport hub a switch is touched by close to 100 people and if even 1 of them is infected with COVID-19 then its a done situation for the people who touched the switch after him. This problem needs some more attention than just placing a plastic sheet over the switches.
The main challenge is how do we install the hardware. So we decided to design a prototype switchboard that can be placed in the place of traditional switchboards. Apart from that due to less hardware we weren't able to test the software for multiple users. There are some bugs in the system due to less time Such as we have to start the server after powering up the Raspberry pi. Bill Prediction is less Accurate in some cases Due to very little data, but it keeps becoming more accurate with more usage. We cannot Add more than 10 Devices Because of fewer GPIO pins in Raspberry PI.
