Composter
Your Personal Vault For React Components
The problem Composter solves
Frontend developers create reusable components, but those components often become scattered across personal repositories or project directories. When they need to retrieve a component later, they must endure a tedious search through multiple repos or folders. Composter eliminates this hassle by providing a centralized vault where all components are stored and easily searchable.
Challenges I ran into
- Building the MCP server so agents can understand and respond to natural‑language queries.
- Crawling project files to detect dependencies automatically.
- Designing robust regular‑expression patterns that reliably capture a wide variety of import/require statements without false positives.
- Keeping the dependency‑extraction logic language‑agnostic while still handling edge‑cases in JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.
