Complaint Tracking System is a tool designed to solve the challenges of muncipality problems making it simpler, safer, and more efficient to report and get the problems solved, leading to a better environment.
The Problems It Solves are
- unavaibility of any platform to report the problems conveninently to authority.
- Inefficiency in problem posting and tracking the progress for both the users as well as authorities who are responsible for addressing complaints.
- No platform to keep and get the record and status of what progress has been achieved in a particular time period for any location.
4.Lack of interaction and communication between the citizens and the authorities.
Challenges we ran into
Mazor problems we faced were..
1.While integrating mail verification, i first used nodemailer which utilises smtp protocol on the server machine to send mail, it was working fine locally, but after hosting the website on render, it was causing problem because of unavaibility of smtp port on render, then after i had to switch to mailgrid.
2. While working on the frontend, after the backend was completed we got the idea of adding upvote functionality to improve the authenticity of the complaints so we had to modify the schema of Complaints.
3.We got only 10 days to complete whole project from scratch and we have implemented all the required features and also that we got the idea after understanding the project succesfully.
