Challenges we ran into
During the development journey of our fundraising platform, we encountered several challenges that required innovative solutions and guidance:
- Smart Contract Implementation for Transparency
Challenge: One of the major hurdles we faced was the implementation of a smart contract to ensure transparency in our fundraising platform. This was a technical challenge as it required expertise in blockchain technology.
Solution: To overcome this challenge, we sought external resources for guidance. We referred to educational materials such as YouTube videos provided by mentors in the field, which helped us gain a better understanding of smart contract implementation.
- Limited Experience with Rust Programming:
Challenge: Another obstacle was our limited experience with the Rust programming language. We were more accustomed to using TypeScript for coding.
Solution: To address this challenge, we adapted by using TypeScript-like coding techniques in our Rust programming. This transition allowed us to work more comfortably within our existing skill set while still achieving our project goals.
- Execution of Command Line Operations:
Challenge: We faced difficulties in executing command line operations to run the code and access the localhost server. This posed a practical challenge for our development team.
Solution: To resolve this, we sought guidance from workshops and tutorials provided by mentors. These resources offered step-by-step instructions on executing command line operations effectively, helping us navigate this technical hurdle.
