It will help us to keep track of path while the truck is on the path.
Challenges we ran into
While working on the coal theft detection project, our team encountered several significant hurdles, both in hardware and software aspects.
One of the primary challenges was the reliance on sensors for detecting coal theft. Unfortunately, we had limited access to the necessary sensors that would enable us to effectively monitor coal loads and ensure the integrity of the transportation process. This limitation created difficulties in implementing reliable detection mechanisms.
Additionally, we faced challenges with path tracking and GPS detection. Accurately tracking the path of transportation vehicles was crucial for our project, as it allowed us to monitor movements in real-time and identify any irregularities that could indicate theft. However, we encountered issues related to the precision of GPS data, which sometimes led to inconsistencies in our tracking results.
On the software side, we also struggled with backend development. Integrating the sensed data from various hardware sensors into a cohesive and responsive backend system was complex. We needed to ensure that the backend could handle incoming data efficiently while providing timely alerts for potential theft incidents.
Despite these challenges, our teammates demonstrated exceptional collaboration and problem-solving skills. Through brainstorming sessions and diligent work, we managed to minimize these issues. We explored alternative sensor options and refined our GPS tracking algorithms, which improved accuracy. Moreover, we focused on streamlining the backend processes to enhance data handling and responsiveness.
In conclusion, while the path to developing our coal theft detection system was fraught with challenges, our teamwork and dedication enabled us to overcome these hurdles and make significant progress in our project.
