The problem Cloth Harbor solves
In the dynamic world of fashion, large brand showrooms find themselves grappling with an
annual challenge – the surplus of top-notch quality clothing, shoes, jackets, and other
wearables that remain unsold as the year draws to a close. With the impending arrival of new
fashion lines, these establishments are compelled to swiftly clear their inventory.
Traditionally, they resort to bulk selling to retailer businessmen who connect with showroom
owners, yet this process lacks the widespread accessibility it deserves.
This situation presents a two-fold issue: unsold premium quality goods are overlooked by
potential retailers, and businesses struggle to efficiently reach out to interested parties. This
bottleneck results in missed opportunities for both sellers and buyers within the fashion
industry.
Challenges we ran into
- used firebase which required API keys and google auth provider that needs handling APIs
- used vanilla css that required time and effort to make UI look futuristic
- needed practical thinking and programming core knowledge to solve and implement this issue
- wrote server side on our own to make sure everything works exactly as we needed
