The problem ClassTrack solves

The problems teachers were facing while maintaining a hardcore attendence register are :-

Time-consuming: Manually tracking attendance can be a time-consuming task, especially for teachers with a large number of students or multiple classes.

Error-prone: Manual attendance tracking is more susceptible to errors, such as miscounting or forgetting to mark attendance, which can affect the accuracy of attendance records.

Inefficient: Manually tracking attendance can be an inefficient process that requires teachers to spend more time on administrative tasks than teaching.

Disorganized: Maintaining attendance records manually can result in disorganized records that are difficult to manage, retrieve, or analyze.

Privacy concerns: Traditional attendance registers may contain sensitive student information such as names, attendance records, and other personal details, which may pose privacy and security risks.

ClassTrack is a powerful Android app designed to streamline attendance tracking for teachers. Traditional attendance records are manual, time-consuming, error-prone, and disorganized, leading to efficiency and privacy concerns. ClassTrack addresses these problems by automating the attendance process, eliminating the need for manual tracking. Its intuitive interface enables teachers to quickly take attendance for multiple classes and students. Additionally, the system is organized, easily accessible, and retrievable at any time. With ClassTrack, teachers can spend more time teaching and less time tracking attendance, leading to more effective learning outcomes.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered a few issues while developing this project, the most significant of which was that we were unfamiliar with the technology stack and had to learn and implement it on the fly. It took us four hours to fix a bug that prevented us from fetching data from Firebase from a subclass to its super super super class.
