In order to make online classes real-time and interactive, we have come up with Student attention detection system that is helpful for both students and lecturers in monitoring students efficiently.
The problem Class Monitoring System solves
Attentiveness and proper emotion detection of students.
Challenges we ran into
• We could not build a porper web application.
• Adding a feature for the students to ask a doubt with an option to ask it now or later.
• The teacher gets the statistics of the percentage of students paying attention to the class and an alert is sent to her when the percentage is less than 50%. This allows the teacher to modify his/her style of teaching.
• Work more on face recognition i.e. storing the face data of the student and check if he/she is the one in front of the camera.
