The problem CitySwipe solves
Public transport users face multiple challenges, including the hassle of recharging transportation cards, lack of real-time transit updates, and disjointed systems for buses, trains, and other public transport modes. These inefficiencies lead to wasted time, frustration, and a suboptimal commuting experience.
CitySwipe, addresses these issues by offering a unified, user-friendly platform that simplifies payments, provides live transit information, and integrates multiple transport systems for a seamless, efficient journey.
Challenges we ran into
It was tricky to make sure all the live transit updates worked smoothly across different transport systems.
We had to figure out how to make recharges and NFC payments secure and hassle-free for users.
Creating a simple yet powerful interface that works for both tech enthusiasts and everyday users took some extra thought.
Ensuring Metrocard could be used across buses, trains, and other systems was a bit of a puzzle to solve.
With limited time during the hackathon, we had to focus on the most important features and get them right.
