Challenges we ran into

Charity Connect Pass (Interactive NFT) and Points (FT) are key assets for connecting users, merchants and charities, as well as driving decision-making regarding fund expenditure. However, non-web3 users often struggle to understand and access tokens. Fortunately, TokenScript technology offers a solution. TokenScript can easily transform a token into an interactive one by encapsulating its real value (what you can do with the token) along with the token itself. This allows token issuers and other trusted authorities to enrich a given token with a wide range of information, rules, and functionalities.

To simplify onboarding for new users, especially those unfamiliar with web3, we sought a frictionless solution for setting up a wallet and connecting to the Interactive NFT. Coinbase Smart Wallet elegantly solved this problem. By using the Smart Wallet solution, new web3 users can set up CharityConnect without needing to install a separate wallet app. Furthermore, it even sponsors gas fees on the testnet, making our testing process even smoother.

To enhance user experience and facilitate easy access to the Charity Connect Pass (Interactive NFT), we've enabled users to add the NFT to their Apple or Google Wallet as a digital pass. Users can easily access the Interactive NFT with a single tap on the back of their Apple or Google Wallet pass. Additionally, we can enable location-based notifications through Apple and Google Wallet.
