Hostlez

A chrome extension to help people with dyslexia and color blindness access web pages with more ease.

The problem Hostlez solves

The project solves the mentioned problems:

It increases the efficiency of the modern-day hotel-management system by allowing both room managers and customers to deal and book rooms on real time basis.

It reduces the mistakes that can occur in the day-to-day transactions, like simultaneous rooms booked by 2 or more customers and faulty date of booking.

It provides a complete catalogue of rooms along with their prices which is offered by the hotel management. This helps the customers to have a complete look at their bookings with ease.

It allows you to delete or book rooms in advance which are required in the modern day busy world. Such facilities can help in simultaneous development in both the management and customer segments.

It provides 24 x 7 service to book rooms with pending and approval requests, which does not require any form of manual support or interferences.

It increases the customer and room manager review in terms of the total number of rooms booked on the site. This helps to recognise old customers and it is hassle-free.

Challenges we ran into

There were many problems we faced during our project:

There were constant difficulty in making responsive webpages, but we overcame the problem by using flexbox in CSS. The main credit goes to w3schools and tutorialspoint.
We found it difficult to implement the API of RazorPay, so we used the traditional build system to make an booking application, which further helped in securing the implementation of the API.
We worked hard for designing the UI and we were quite successful at the end of the day, We searched in various platforms and resources to gather as many designs and templates possible.'
We were unable to add Google Authentication and Aadhar Card Recognisation for the same.
