ChainTracks
“Track Transparency, Transform Trust.”
Why are you participating for Based SEA?
I’m participating in Based SEA because I believe in harnessing blockchain technology to solve real-world problems in my community. SEA is home to a diverse range of industries, and the challenges of supply chain transparency are prevalent. By building ChainTracks, I aspire to contribute to a future where businesses operate with integrity and consumers can make informed choices.
What challenges are you focusing on?
The primary challenge I aim to address is the lack of transparency in supply chains. Many businesses struggle to track their products accurately, leading to issues such as fraud, inefficiencies, and diminished consumer trust. This is particularly critical in sectors like food safety and pharmaceuticals, where traceability is paramount.
How does your submission address this challenge?
ChainTracks leverages blockchain technology to create an immutable ledger of product movements, allowing businesses to track their goods in real-time. By integrating IoT devices, we gather vital data on product conditions during transit, ensuring that stakeholders have access to reliable information. The analytics dashboard further empowers businesses to gain insights into their supply chain operations, driving efficiencies and enhancing decision-making.
Challenges I ran into
One significant hurdle was the integration of IoT devices with the blockchain system. I faced compatibility issues between different IoT protocols and the blockchain network. To overcome this, I researched various integration tools and ultimately chose a middleware solution that bridged the gap, enabling seamless data flow between IoT devices and our blockchain platform.
Additional Features
During the Buildathon, I added a supplier verification module that allows businesses to authenticate their suppliers through a decentralized identity system. This feature enhances trust within the supply chain and ensures that only verified suppliers are involved in the process.
