The problem ChainInsight solves
Original ideas and insights are often easy to copy but difficult to prove. Financial analysts share market predictions or research online without any reliable proof of authorship. Researchers and writers face plagiarism risks and lack a timestamped record that establishes when their work was first created. Communities and institutions also struggle to verify originality before endorsing or promoting insights, while thought leaders lack a trusted way to showcase their credibility beyond likes and social recognition.
ChainInsight addresses these challenges by combining blockchain technology with AI-powered evaluation. Every submitted idea is analyzed for originality, relevance, and sentiment, ensuring that only authentic, high-quality insights are recorded. Once validated, the content is anchored on the blockchain, creating an immutable, time-stamped record of authorship. This process not only protects contributors from plagiarism but also establishes verifiable proof of ownership that cannot be altered or erased.
Beyond protection, ChainInsight enhances professional recognition and trust. Contributors receive shareable Proof of Insight badges and dashboards that highlight their intellectual contributions across both professional and social platforms. At the same time, institutions, companies, and communities gain a simple way to verify originality before citing, promoting, or investing in content. In doing so, ChainInsight transforms insights into trusted digital assets, making them safer, smarter, and permanently verifiable.
Challenges I ran into
One major challenge was ensuring the seamless integration between the AI evaluation pipeline and the blockchain recording process. The AI model produced results asynchronously, while the blockchain required precise and consistent input data (the hashed insight). Early on, this caused mismatches between evaluated content and the records stored on-chain. To solve this, I implemented a strict validation layer on the backend that confirmed the AI’s output before committing the hash to the blockchain. This ensured accuracy and prevented incomplete or invalid records.
Another hurdle came from handling content hashing. Even minor formatting differences in user submissions produced different hashes, which could make identical content appear unique on-chain. To overcome this, I introduced a preprocessing step that normalized text (removing extra spaces, unifying case sensitivity, and stripping unnecessary characters) before hashing. This guaranteed that the same content always produced the same hash, strengthening the integrity of the verification system.
Finally, working with multiple technologies, which include React for the frontend, Node.js/Express for the backend, the Gemini API for AI evaluation, and blockchain for record storage, introduced complexity in debugging. Issues would often appear at the intersection of components, making it difficult to isolate the root cause. I solved this by setting up structured logging across all services and using a modular architecture, which made errors easier to trace and fix. This approach not only helped resolve bugs faster but also improved the overall reliability of the system.
