The problem Chain-azon solves
CHAIN-AZON makes shopping with cryptocurrency seamless, secure, and intelligent by integrating AI-powered automation with DeFi yield optimization. Users can browse and purchase products from Amazon, Walmart, and other major retailers using ETH, USDC, or other cryptocurrencies via a virtual credit card, essentially eliminating the need for traditional banking. Meanwhile, staking and restaking through P2P.org allows users to earn yield, which the AI dynamically manages and converts into spending power. Whether users want to order groceries, electronics, or furniture, they can simply chat with the AI, track orders, manage cancellations, and optimize their crypto holdings all in one place.
User Interaction and Data Flow
Users interact with CHAIN-AZON by first making a Moonwell card. Afterwards, users can deposit funds into a liquidity pool managed by our AI agent, a percentage of the funds is staked using P2P to generate yield by securing validator services while the other funds are in the liquidity pool that will be used to pay off any purchases. When a user queries to buy a good, the agent will fetch goods using zinc api to find relevant products sold on amazon. After the user chooses the good and pays for the Moonwell card, the agent will take money from the liquidity pool to fund the card to make a purchase only if the user has deposited enough funds. The products being bought (before the agent makes the purchase) is stored in an IPFS file which is compared to the receipt, queried with zinc (after the transaction) using an AVS to ensure the agent is correct. If the purchase and receipt is different, the AVS prompts the bot to return and rebuy the transaction.
The project architecture and development process
CHAIN-AZON is an AI-powered shopping assistant that allows users to browse, purchase, and track orders from major retailers like Amazon and Walmart, all while paying with cryptocurrency. By integrating DeFi yield optimization, on-chain staking, and AI-driven shopping automation, CHAIN-AZON removes the barriers between crypto assets and real-world purchases. Users can chat with an AI-agent to find products, stake ETH for yield, and use those funds to complete purchases—all while ensuring security through Actively Validated Services (AVS) deployed using (Othentic).
Product Integrations
Zinc API powers e-commerce interactions by fetching product details, automating purchases, and tracking orders from Amazon, Walmart, and other retailers. P2P.org API facilitates ETH staking and yield generation through EigenLayer, allowing users to fund purchases using staking rewards. AgentKit serves as the AI-powered shopping assistant, parsing user queries, managing staking decisions, and executing transactions. To ensure security, Actively Validated Service (AVS) verifies that what the user intends to buy is the same as what is bought by the AI agent. This is achieved by the executioner checking the equality of what the user wants (posted on ipfs with a hash) and the user’s receipt (queried from zinc api). The validators confirm whether the executioner’s action is valid by executing the same action and seeing if it aligns. Additionally, Moonwell API offers the ability to deposit money into their debit card. Together, these integrations create a frictionless, AI-driven shopping experience where users can chat with an assistant to stake and shop orders securely without the need for traditional banking or manual fund management.
Trade-offs and shortcuts while building
Due to the nature of moonwell which requires integration only with mainnet to use and fund a debit card, and Zinc which requires all API requests of order status to be real, it became very difficult to test that it works as intended without deploying it on mainnet. This resulted in our project becoming more of a proof of concept. Currently the project uses these services separately due to time constraints: frontend, AVS, and chatbot. Essentially we made an agent that is able to take in user requests and identify what actions need to be taken. The agent currently can’t call the endpoints, but we created api requests to place an order/bulk order, cancelling an order, get order status, and p2p staking/restaking/withdrawing. We also have an AVS that isn’t connected to the chatbox, but can decide if the data from two endpoints are equivalent. We also have a frontend based on dummy logic.
