Why are you participating for Based Africa?

We were inspired by the rising number of scams in the digital space, driving us to create a secure solution for protecting users' digital assets through this hackathon.

What challenges are you focusing on?

Our primary challenge is enhancing the security of digital assets to protect users from potential threats. By providing a robust solution, we aim to boost confidence in the safety of digital assets, encouraging broader adoption of blockchain technology.

How does your submission address this challenge?

Chain Insure is an innovative decentralized application (dApp) designed to provide top-tier security and insurance for digital assets, functioning as a digital cold wallet. Our platform continuously analyzes user behavior, identifying and flagging suspicious or malicious activities. We’ve integrated behavior-based thresholds to detect and respond to unusual patterns. In the event of a potential threat, assets are temporarily frozen for protection. Should a confirmed loss occur due to an attack, our insurance policy ensures prompt reimbursement, safeguarding users and ensuring peace of mind.

Challenges we ran into

1. Challenge: Limited Time
   Solution: Despite the tight schedule, my teammates rose to the occasion by taking on additional tasks, ensuring we stayed on track and met key deadlines.

2. Challenge: Delayed Deliverables from Team Members
   Solution: When certain members weren't delivering on time, we made the tough decision to cut them from the project and redistributed their responsibilities, allowing us to improvise and maintain momentum.

3. Challenge: Smart Wallet and VPN Issues
   Solution: The smart wallet we were tasked to integrate had frequent outages and required VPN support, which caused delays. We worked closely with technical support and adopted workarounds to ensure the integration was completed successfully despite these disruptions.
