The problem Celar solves
PSPs, remittance companies, and fintechs across Africa are seeing growing customer demand for stablecoin payments but lack the underlying rails to support them. Celar provides these rails, enabling businesses to let their merchants and users send, receive, and settle stablecoins instantly and compliantly.
Challenges I ran into
As we scaled the platform, our existing wallet architecture couldn’t support the flexibility and reliability required for complex stablecoin transactions. This became a bottleneck for new features and long-term scalability.
To solve this, we adopted ERC-4337 smart accounts, giving us programmable wallet orchestration, account abstraction, and a resilient foundation for future growth.

What is your product’s unique value proposition?
Celar abstracts away the hardest parts of stablecoin payments including wallet orchestration, routing, and compliance so PSPs can offer stablecoin payments instantly and operate at a fraction of traditional settlement costs. Our alpha build already processes live USDC and USDT transactions across multiple chains, validating our ability to deliver instant and cost-efficient payments to PSPs.
Who is your target customer?
Our primary customers are payment service providers across Africa who need faster, lower-cost settlement rails for their merchants. We’ve held discovery sessions with PSPs in Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana, and their feedback confirmed that integrating stablecoin payments is a top priority but technically and compliantly difficult to build in-house. This focus allows us to refine Celar around their real operational needs before scaling to other segments.

Our closest competitors focus on on and off ramps and merchant solutions. Celar builds the infrastructure that powers their competitors by working directly with payment service providers. We offer a unified platform purpose built for stablecoin payments rather than a one size fits all processor. Our system has been designed around digital currencies from day one, unlike competitors that added them later, making integrations up to ten times faster, compliance built in from the start, and settlements fully optimized for stablecoin transactions.
What is your distribution strategy and why?
Our primary distribution strategy is targeted cold outreach, especially via email. It is one of the most effective and widely used channels in B2B fintech and all our current conversations and demos have come directly from it.
