The problem CEIBA 3.0 solves
It is quite challenging for new members of the web3 community to get a hold of our amazing tools with their practical uses because it requires high level technological literacy. Potential holders are also hesitant to try out NFTs for example, because of scams and scandals. That's why, our mission is to create a tool that is simple, fun, reliable and beautiful.
To make it more surreal, it also aims to solve one of the biggest challenges our hometown (Mexico City) is facing: Air pollution and the loss of our green areas due to uncontrolled urbanization. According to the WHO, the amount of green areas that a city should have in order for their habitants to have a good quality of life is 16m2 per habitant. The green area density of the city is 7.5m2 on average, and some areas are as low as 2.2m2 per habitant. This is a big issue because it is summing up to other consequences, like water scarcity and uneven distribution of resources.
The Ceiba 3.0 team comes to the rescue with our impact oriented NFT marketplace where local artists can be empowered into the world of blockchain at the same time as they support the restoration conservation and construction of parks in the most beautiful city in the world. When an NFT is minted on Ceiba, the funds collected are distributed with the artist, the park conservation projects and us, of course, because we are also into good business.
Challenges we ran into
Problem with documentations of diferent api due that they are outdated and was not able to implement and needed to interact through thirdweb and openzepelin to understand the creation and managment of contract to apply it on ether JS
Debuging the use of the contract with ether JS is not simple because the errors are to general i solved it adding diferent cases to contract to make a simple but usefull contract
Documentation on the NFT json asociated to the image is not clear
Problem finding Base Network Configuration to implement in the API thanks to this it made me expoit ether JS to interact directly with netwotrk configuration through the window browser
Zora testnet was not available for base sepolia so had to create own contract instead of using directly zora collection
