In today's gig and freelance economy, trust and transparency in milestone-based payments remain a major challenge. Clients hesitate to pay upfront, while developers and creators risk working without guaranteed compensation. At the same time, AI-powered assistance often lacks accountability, making it hard to build intelligent systems tied to real financial actions.

We wanted to solve this by combining blockchain payments with intelligent automation — enabling a system where users can securely pay, verify, and complete milestones while interacting with a smart, AI-powered assistant that automates progress tracking and insights.

The CDP Wallet Agent bridges this gap by merging AI, blockchain, and token gating to create a programmable, milestone-driven ecosystem — where every interaction, payment, and assistant action is secure, transparent, and verifiable.

Challenges I ran into

CDP Wallet Integration: Ensuring smooth wallet connections and real-time payment status updates was tricky, especially when syncing blockchain transactions with the frontend state.

Token Gating Logic: Managing token validation through x402pay while maintaining a seamless user flow required careful backend coordination.

Claude 3 Sonnet Activation: Making sure the AI assistant only responded after token verification introduced complex async handling and edge case management.

Voice + Text Handling: Balancing real-time voice recognition, text prompts, and dynamic AI responses without lag or crashes was a key technical challenge.

UI State Management: Keeping the milestone cards, token payments, and assistant responses synchronized in real time tested our frontend architecture.

AWS Bedrock Integration: Setting up secure, efficient access to Claude 3 Sonnet APIs while maintaining fast response times required extensive optimization.
