Nekomimi or Cat Ears is supposed to be an anonymised source of citizen journalism that can combat misinformation from other media and citizens without outing their identities. The Project uses Zero-Knowledge proofs for personhood and ensures that the citizen uploads media from a C2PA (https://c2pa.org) compliant media device without identifying them or their device.
Any Media with a description is minted as an NFT which can be rented or bought and then used by Outsourcers. The outsourcers themselves can be sure that they are getting authentic data from a real person and not a bot or a deep fake.
Nekomimi uses Worldcoin currently to onboard users and then map their media device to an NFT contract. Thus, their media device has a contract address and anything from it can be minted as an NFT.
