What is your product’s unique value proposition?
It's a crowdfunding platform that is specifically focused on science. We have a real team of experienced scientists running the studies that get chosen.
People can easily contribute with the click of a button (and they can also withdraw their contribution anytime before the study reaches its goal).
We're also adding a prediction markets feature for betting on the outcomes of experiments to increase engagement and excitement about the results.
Who is your target customer?
Someone who is curious and fun-loving, who cares about science and is dissatisfied with the existing scientific funding system.
Who are your closest competitors and how are you different?
Crowdfund: We are different both because we are focused on science specifically, and because we restrict the ability to post projects to ensure rigorous, high quality science.
What is your distribution strategy and why?
We hope that the ability to bet on experiment results in the prediction markets will also draw people in to fund experiments.
