The problem Caregiver solves
Caregiver is essentially a website for those who provide caretaking for someone with full time needs.This is no common cold being talked about.Consider the challenges of children with dyslexia or autism or adhd who do not get proper diagnosis or those suffering from chronic illnesses like multiple sclerosis.Looking after their folks often saps out the energy and costs the caretaker their own life experiences and even income.So I created a site equipped with a number of features to ease their burden.Therapists and counselors picked from crowdsourced lists,with people vouching their good experiences,to hunting for companies that provide attendants -pan India for caretaking... are presented via the website.Furthermore,I created a blogs page where you can read about the profound caregiving experiences of other individuals and another page to figure out what to do in case of different emergencies with the click of a tab.
Challenges I ran into
Participating in my first hackathon alone was definitely challenging.I struggled to create a few pages and popups that I discarded for other features that required significant backend expertise.Furthermore,I had to deep dive and reflect on a lot of react fundamentals to understand why and how I was making errors.Even during pushing the files on github I ran into a nested repository error.Tackling those challenges alone has been a great learning experience.
