The problem CareEase solves
CareEase is designed to simplify healthcare management for elderly users while ensuring top-notch security for their sensitive health data. The platform helps elderly individuals track their health, remember appointments, manage medications, and communicate securely with caregivers and family members. CareEase also offers end-to-end encryption and two-factor authentication, protecting users’ private information from unauthorized access. This makes managing healthcare safer, easier, and more accessible for elderly users and their caregivers.
Challenges we ran into
While building CareEase, one of the biggest challenges was ensuring data security while maintaining ease of use for elderly users. Many elderly individuals struggle with complex security protocols, so we had to design a system that integrates two-factor authentication and end-to-end encryption without overwhelming the user.
We also faced challenges integrating real-time updates and notifications for caregivers without introducing delays, as timely healthcare management is crucial. Using Firebase as a backend helped us streamline this process, and thorough testing ensured data remained synchronized across devices without compromising performance.
