The problem Cardilla solves

Existing credit card bill payment platforms primarily cater to traditional payment methods and lack decentralized notifications and robust privacy measures for storing sensitive user details. Crypto users who hold credit cards require a specialized solution that offers both decentralized notifications and enhanced privacy features to ensure the security and confidentiality of their financial information.

Therefore, there is a need for a decentralized credit card bill payment app, such as Cardilla, that specifically targets crypto users with credit cards. Cardilla aims to revolutionize credit card bill payments by providing a secure, user-centric, and efficient solution with the following key features:

Credit card bill payments using cryptocurrency: Cardilla enables users to pay their credit card bills using cryptocurrencies, providing a convenient and flexible payment option for crypto users.

Decentralized notifications and alerts: Cardilla incorporates decentralized notifications and alerts through the Push Protocol, ensuring timely and secure communication between the app and users, without relying on centralized servers.

Minimal UI: Cardilla offers a minimalist user interface and wallet integration, focusing on simplicity and ease of use. The app streamlines the credit card management and bill payment processes, providing a seamless experience for users.

Better reward system: Cardilla aims to introduce an improved reward system that incentivizes users for using the app and making timely bill payments. This encourages user engagement.

Challenges we ran into

We could not actually completely build our project due to many reasons mentioned below:

1. Shortcomings of knowledge and awareness: We entered the web3 space only two weeks ago when we join a community called Web3Assam. We did not know about Web3Conf and later we got to know that the registrations are over way earlier, but there was only way i.e. the Hackathon so we started working on this project idea only a week ago. So the first challenge was we could not manage our time well with our other responsibilities.
   At first we thought it will be easy like building a web2 project but we did not have any idea about smart contracts and web3 development so we had to give some time for gaining the basic understanding of the things, When we started working on the project we actually came to know about the complicacies of cryptocurrency laws in India, so we came to know that you cannot actually use cryptocurrency to pay bills because it is not a legal tender and no bank or credit card providers accpet bills in cryptocurrencies.

2. Legal and Security related: Now our project idea includes things like getting the information of credit card users, conversion of cryptocurrencies into INR and vice versa, Payment of bills to actual credit card providers in INR. All these steps involves legal and security threats which if not taken care can lead to complicacies and as a beginner in the field we did not have any idea about how these things work.

3. Development Related: Even we somehow thought of a solution and worked on the project architecture by approaching some well established persons in the web3 space, but we did not have the technical abilities to actually implement the bill payment facilities where the user is signing a transaction and the balance is actually getting deducte, so we started writing the project but we could not actually implement it as a whole and needed some more time Which we could not get.
