The challenges we ran into primarily revolved around conceptualizing a solution that balances practicality, innovation, and user appeal. For CarbonTap, defining the scope of features—such as tracking digital carbon footprints and implementing a reward system—required careful consideration to ensure the concept was both impactful and feasible. For Eco-Struct, the challenge lay in envisioning how AI could be effectively utilized to simplify green architecture without overwhelming users with complexity. Additionally, aligning both prototypes with real-world sustainability goals while making them scalable and adaptable for diverse users was a thought-provoking aspect of the process.
