The problem Car Racing Game solves
The 2D car racing game itself doesn’t solve a “real-world” utility problem like fintech or health apps — instead, it solves entertainment and engagement problems:
🎮 Boredom Relief – Gives players a fun, quick, and addictive way to pass time.
🧠 Skill Development – Improves hand–eye coordination, reaction speed, and focus.
🏆 Challenge & Motivation – Offers a goal (survive longer, beat high scores) that motivates repeated play.
🎨 Creativity & Learning – For developers, it’s a practical project to learn Python game development using Pygame.
Challenges I ran into
Key Challenges Faced
Collision Detection – Making sure the car accurately detects crashes with incoming vehicles.
Smooth Movement – Ensuring car controls respond quickly without lag.
Scrolling Background – Simulating continuous road movement to create the racing effect.
Game Balance – Adjusting enemy car speed and spawn rate so the game is challenging but not impossible.
Resource Handling – Managing images (car.png, background.png) so they load properly across systems.
Player Engagement – Keeping gameplay addictive without being repetitive.
