The problem CampusCare solves
CampusCare is a comprehensive web application designed to enhance healthcare management within university hostels by streamlining various tasks for both students and hospital staff. It provides a user-friendly dashboard for students to access medical records, request appointments, and manage their healthcare needs, while enabling hospital staff to efficiently oversee patient data, manage appointments, and handle emergencies. Emergency feature ensures that the patient don't suffer due to delay, accurate ambulance booking and tracking followed by hospital intimation, past medical history sharing of patient to the hospital. The platform facilitates quick medicine delivery, tracks patient progress, and manages hospital records with impro by ved efficiency. By offering features such as medical history access and appointment scheduling, CampusCare simplifies healthcare processes, ensuring timely and effective care. Additionally, it prioritizes accessibility by being compatible with screen readers and voice control, and maintains robust security measures to protect sensitive medical information. Promotes sustainable practices by making entire process paper less.
Challenges we ran into
While conceptualizing the emergency management feature for CampusCare, we anticipated challenges in ensuring rapid response, effective communication, and timely access to a patient's health history during critical situations. A key concern was the potential delay in alerting hospital staff and providing them with the necessary medical background to begin treatment promptly. To address this, our solution involves designing a real-time alert system that immediately notifies relevant staff through push notifications and automated workflows while simultaneously sharing the patient’s prior health history. This allows the hospital to prepare for treatment as soon as an emergency is reported, ensuring a swift and personalized response. By focusing on these elements and conducting rigorous scenario-based testing, we aim to create a highly responsive and efficient emergency management system that significantly enhances both the speed and quality of care within the university environment.
