The problem Byob - Bring Your Own Bridge solves

When you want to use a new dApp an a newer chain, you often don't care what chain it's on but spend time searching for how to bridge tokens there, navigating multiple bridge websites. It' a frustrating process where many chains may or may not be supported by each bridge.

BYOB solves this, bridge directly from the dApp without leaving it! Also you can swap tokens there to get the correct assets on the destination chain.

Challenges I ran into

I attempted to use Wormhole but couldn't get the SDK working. With Across, the set up was much easier, one error stumped me for nearly 2 hours (I almost gave up and was going to try something else). I didn't realise that I hadn't approved spending fo the token for the Across spokepool.depositv3 contract 😅
