Buy Me Milk

Decentralized WebApp for Supporting Creator

The problem Buy Me Milk solves

Traditional creator funding and supporting apps are centralized. Some amount of value that a person pays is taken as a fee by these centralized entities. Additionally, because the system is centralized, both the creator's and the donor's information is kept on centralized servers, where it can be used for targeted advertising.
This webapp is a decentralized version of the creator funding and support app where donors can donate directly to their favorite creators without any middlemen. Donated currency is directly received by the creator from anywhere.

Challenges I ran into

I had trouble getting the MetaMask wallet to work with the project. I was unable to transfer tokens to test my web app and establish a connection with my metamask. After that, I researched the etherjs library and discovered how to link a wallet to the frontend.
I faced the issue of displaying the name, message amount, and donor's address in the frontend. This problem helped me learn how transactions work and how the blockchain maintains the transactions. For the solutions I used props and usestate in react to store and display data .
