The problem Buy Me a Drink solves

Buy Me a Drink provides a seamless and enjoyable way for creators, builders, hackers, artists, and designers to receive support from their community. Traditional tipping and donation services often require reliance on traditional transfer methods, which necessitate having a bank account, incur higher fees, and are slower. Our platform addresses these issues by bringing the experience on-chain. By utilizing blockchain technology, we offer lower fees, near real-time transfers, and the ability for users to invest their donations in other cryptocurrencies or tokens. Our solution simplifies the support process, making it more accessible and efficient for creators and their supporters. With Stripe integration for easy payments and Coinbase Smart Wallet for effortless wallet connections and fund transfers, we bridge the gap between creators and their community, enhancing the overall experience for everyone involved.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was integrating the Smart Wallet feature and figuring out a safe and fast way to handle payouts to user's embeded wallets. Also because our team was primarily designers and only one senior engineer our coding designers faced a lot of issues with building such a large app in such a short amount of time.
